this entry is especially dedicated to mak lang (who is currently based in M.ilan, It.aly - and enjoying the luxurious)...
mak lang,
as i have informed you earlier, the whole family had iftaar at mak jang's crib in B.andar B.ukit Puc.hong 2 earlier... all of mak and atok's children were there except YOU!
mak jang also invited few of her ex-schoolmates and also uncle hafiz's siblings and mother, ne.nek l.ily.
as you can expect, the house was extremely noisy!!! and everyone was so excited to gather... everybody talked like there was no tomorrow... (put aside the noises of lil children - but mainly it was the LOUD adult!)
(pre-raye pose. since most of them wouldnt be at mak's on the first raye, so i took the opportunity to snap this piece!)
i cant afford to put a title to each of the pictures coz they were more than 10 hands count... hopefully you enjoy viewing them...
btw, im taking care of sot sot tonite. she and nabil are at my place enjoying the free wi-fi. tmrw, insyaAllah, we will be going down to town to buy kasut raya (though your daughter refuses to have baju raya, but she wants a kasut raya!  )

adik ku dari sur.abaya udah pulang ke tanahair utk menyambut lebaran...
once dah siap masak for tonite's potluck if.taar at mak jang's, we went to fetch b.il from lcc.t. earlier, i had informed my cou.sin, sor.aya that we will fetch her from somewhere in sh.ah al.am to go for the if.taar. anyhow, we will only fetch her around 6pm, coz am.ir and i had to 'pick-up some stuffs' first.
our 'stuff's' was na.bil laaaa....
so, after fetched na.bil, we told her that we are heading to sh.ah al.am to fetch am.ir's cousin, ROHA.YA! in short, na.bil didnt know that sor.aya was coming along, and sor.aya didnt expect that na.bil was with us to fetch her...
mak aaaiii.... i tell ya, they were both shocked  and tergediks getiks when they met each other...
'b.il, tak tau pon along nak amek ay.a...'
'ay.a pon tak tau b.il ade....oh! sbb tuh along panggil aya R.OHAYA tadi eh??'
once again, i successfully reunite two long lost ged.ik cousins... with a surprise!

mama nila @ mak jang kite was on tv3, trying her luck on her 2nd tv game show, teka-teki, after LINGO (more than 10 years ago!).
insyaAllah, kite doakan mak jang dapat masuk lagi other game shows eh??? (tak boley cakap berape dia menang tapi boley laaa buat dia beli baju raye yg mengherlap utk h.akim, h.ijaz, ha.ikal ngan nila kan??)
anyhow, only mak jang and i are suc.ker to tv game show! she had her lingo and teka-teki, whilst i had my share of roda impian and famili ceria (i guess so, the game show chef wan hosted in 2002!)...

Iftaar With A Friend

initially, citateq planned for this iftaar. we wanna have iftaar together before bie leaves for W.arsaw. unfortunately teq couldnt join due to diarrhea. since bie and i had set up our mind that 'we-will-be-seeing-each-other-for-iftaar' and i had brought my baby D40 to work (coz i will leave straight after work)... bie and i made another plan. 'YES-we-will-still-meet'.
my colleague dropped me at the LRT station, and i took the RM2.10 ride to Dang Wangi. Bie and her new colleague waited for me there. We were lost, undecided where to eat... and settled down at Tarbush, Am.pang Point. (konon nak mkn healthy food laaa - no oily and high cholesterol dish)..
anyhow, we will still go out for another iftaar with Teq soon... to reminisced our good college-days! why not we go back and buke kat shah alam plak kan after this???

O People! The Month of Allah (Ramadhan) Has Approached You...
|

the Holy month of Ramadhan is finally here... and alhamdulillah, we are on the 4th day now (originally posted on 16 Sept).
insyaAllah, it is not too late to wish all our Muslim relatives and friends,
Ramadhan Al Mubarak!

The holy month of Ramadan enjoys a special importance in the Islamic calendar. As the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) said: "It is Allah's Own month." It is the chief of all months and the most glorious one. As we already know, 'Fasting' is one of the important pillars of Islam and it is the very month of Ramadan during which fasting has been made obligatory for all adults and sane Muslims. By fasting during Ramadan, a Muslim besides discharging an obligation imposed upon him by Allah, becomes entitled to great reward in the Hereafter. On the other hand, any lapse in the matter amounts to a great sin. Fasting is an article of worship, the knowledge about the performance or otherwise whereof rests only with Allah and the person concerned. Hence, it is Allah alone who will reward that person for it, on the Day of Judgment.
Let us:
Learn Islam with ambition,
Observe Islam with sincerity,
Practice Islam with discipline (Sunnah),
Spread Islam with truth and kindness.

Do understand fully well that Allah has promised in the name of His Majesty and Honor that He will not take to task such people who fast and offer Salat in this month and perform 'sajda' (prostration), and will guard their bodies against the Fire of Hell on the Day of Judgment.
O People! If anybody amongst you arranges for the Iftar (food for the ending of the fast) of any believer, then Allah will give him a reward as if he has set free a slave. He will forgive his minor sins.
Then the companions of Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) said: "But everybody amongst us does not have the means to do so?"
Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) told them: - Keep yourself away from the Fire of Hell, by inviting for 'Iftar', though it may consist of only half a date or simply with water if you have nothing else. O People! Anybody who may cultivate good manners in this month will walk over the 'Siraat' (Bridge) in 'Qiyamat', though his feet may be shaking.
Anybody who in this month may take light work from his servants (male or female), Allah will make easy his accounting on the Day of Judgment.
Anybody who does not tease others in this month, Allah will keep him safe from His wrath in Qiyamat. Anybody, who respects and treats an orphan with kindness in this month, Allah shall look at him with dignity in Qiyamat. Anybody who treats well his kinsmen, in this month, Allah will bestow His mercy on him in Qiyamat, while anybody who maltreats his kinsmen in this month, Allah will keep him away from His mercy, in Qiyamat.

it was the most memorable night at...
our first experience watching this kinda show. few days before depart to phu.ket, i told myself that i HAVE to go and watch the cabaret show.
and there we were... at simon cabaret (pronounced as c-mon k-be-ray) enjoying our precious last nite in phu.ket. we spent 700Baht each for the VVIP seat, jes to watch the show closely - and i tell u, it was WORTH every single Baht!
the beautiful party was brilliantly good in acting and their showmanship was excellent!
good thing, we were allowed to snap photos... therefore, i took over our nikon toy throughout the one hour show (tak puas!!!! skejap sangat!!) - and snapped on every opportunity! all in all, i snapped approx 200 pictures of the cabaret 'girls'.
and he couldnt believe that he fell in love with the beautiful cabaret 'girls'...
which she is actually a he.. i mean.. they were all HE, not a single SHE on the stage!!!!
this might be the longest entry - full of pictures... (saya tak larat nak letak semua gambar!!! nak tgk dtg rumah saya....)
