we went down to seremban the day before Salleh's solemnisation - with two pails of flowers, boxes of presents, 2 big boxes of ribbons, and one bag of my hantaran 'paraphernalia'... since we were using fresh flowers, thus the hantaran needed to be prepared 'fresh'. Alhamdulillah, managed to prepare the hantaran within 5 hours! - of course the groom already knew how he wanted them to be (dgn seluar katok dok bersandar senang lenang mengekspresikan impiannye!!! jes how the 1st picture looks like!)
solemnisation was held at bride's eldest brother's place in taman warisan puteri between 9.15 to 9.45am. Alhamdulillah... everythg went smoothly, and we were already on our back to the hotel by half past 10!
those who didnt stay overnight, cramped into the 3 rooms we occupied the night before. chilled.. gossiped... etc before check out and proceed to the reception ceremony around noon.
im not quite happy with the quality of photos taken - as you can see, kelip-kelip was the bestman (10 points for him lah!!! he made sure salleh had everythg in hand and most importantly, handsomely presenting himself!!! kelip-kelip also made sure that the samping was in place, and siap simpul jadi bunge ok!!! sumpah!!! aku tak tau laki aku terer ikat samping buat bunge seeehhh!!!!), and i was with the ladies, be sitted far from the tok kadi and the both bride & groom. our toy was in a hairy-shaky hand of someone-who-could-not-be-bothered-listening-to-MY-instruction-of-the-right-way-to-handle-and-snap-pictures! therefore, most pictures turned up either blurry or shaky!!! sakit jiwa!!! so, excuse the ugly pictures!!!
(kenape kebanyakan budak2 umur 20 tahun kebawah tak tau the ART of taking pictures? LISTEN and LEARN, at least, what i can ask for... - inilah puncanye kebanyakan gambar we ol either takde gambar kelip-kelip or myself. ) *sigh*
what ever it is... i will make sure that our 'TOY' is in good hands next week!

1 Syawal... Aidilfitri! Yang Mulia!

the pictures you are seeing now, were taken from one third of the events and visitings we had on the first day of raye. (minus the 'unpresentable' ones of course!!! i cant upload my relatives and siblings ugly faces, with half-opened eyes, or mulut ternganga, or hidung kemek, can i?)
the other quarter of events consisted of tok abid's open house and the 'adult' cousins lepak session, which we were already too exhausted to melaram and bergambar by then!!!
it was the first time in my entire 20-somethg life time, to be in Johor on the morning of FIRST Syawal. yeah... you read it right. i had been celebrating RAYA and solat Aidilfitri in Subang for jubilee years, until i got married and celebrated with the in-laws. never, no, nope ever wake up or breathe the 1st Syawal morning breeze in Johor....
im grateful y'know!!!! anyhow, of course, i miss Mak! thought that i would miss her lodeh and sambal goreng but, since the aunties yg masak.. so, i passed!!!

jemputlah dtg rumah bile ada kelapangan. insyaAllah, will be back in KL on the 6th day of Syawal (from down south to east coast -- yeahhhh!!! the longest balek kampung journey we'll ever have! hopefully next year, from east coast to south lah pulak eh?!).
btw, raya always reminds me of my grandmother's famous batang buruk!!!
anyhow, i love her kuih ganyang the most!

life has been pretty hectic this Ramadhan. (hectic hectic pon baju raya pon takde lagi ok!)
i hardly get to hold the camera (it's either lazy or forgot to carry it around!)... we've been to few places for iftaar, but as i said, not in the mood to capture any pictures (even during pakngah's housewarming also terasa malas nak bawak camera!)
since eid is just around the corner (one more weekend to go!), and everybody is busy preparing to celebrate, i doubt that i would have the chance to capture the 'ramadhan-moments' to be posted up...
alas, let's just sit back and play 'MY Guessing Game'...
bahawasanya, barangsiapa yang dah mula gelak, nescaya, dia juga mungkin akan terlibat!

looking at the pictures reminds me of my childhood days --- papa's afro, mama's long straight hair and mini skirt, the aunties' fashionable big hairs and platforms, the big-thick-black-frame spectacles worn by papa, kereta ford papa (was it ford granada?), atok's mazda 323 (the dashboard was covered with peach-furry thingy), mbah's opel, the aunties' turqoise pinafore sewn by mak, the look-like-russian-fur-hat songkok, the white 'i'm a toys r us kid!' t-shirt, atari, smurf, she-ra & he-man, knightrider, my little pony, care bears, strawberry shortcake, ding dang, kedai rasool, kedai panjang, wak leh's chopper, tok nah's flat at telok belangah, tok yu's porch, the high bukit go up to nyang's house at wadihana, etc etc etc...

Marhaban Ya! Ramadhan!

| Quote: | Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) reports that Holy Prophet Mohammad (saw) has said that Sha'ban is my month and Ramadan is the month of Allah (SWT). Therefore, if anyone observers one day of fasting during Sha'ban, I will do his/her "Shafaat" on the day of judgment, and one who observers two days of fasting then his/her previous sins would be forgiven and if someone observers three days of fasting then it would be just like all the sins have been washed away.
Imam Ali Raza (as) has said that if someone observes fast during the last three days of Sha'ban and combines them with the fasting during the month of Ramadan then Allah (SWT) will grant the sawab (reward) of two months of continuous fasting to that person.
During Meraj (Night Ascension) the Holy Prophet Mohammad (saw) asked: "O Allah, what is the gift of fasting?"
Allah (SWT) said: "Fasting leads to wisdom, enables you to understand my signs and ways that will elevate you to a stage of certitude. And when a person has reached the stage of certitude, he or she cares not whether the days pass in plenty or scarcity".
The Holy month of Ramadan is where Allah (SWT) is the HOST, we are his GUESTS and the Holy Quran is His BANQUET.
We pray to the Almighty Allah (SWT) to make us his blessed guests and, in turn, we can gain the utmost from his banquet, as the spiritual container, unlike the physical container, never gets full. |

It has been related that if one's sins were not forgiven in the month of Ramadan, they will not be forgiven until the following month of Ramadan or until he performs pilgrimage. |
R amadhan is just around the corner, hence my husband and I would like to seek forgiveness from all of you - for all the the things we have done and said that have somehow hurt you in anyways.
And please halal-kan everything...
May Allah bless each and everyone of us in this upcoming Ramadhan...

papa & mama can hardly have all their eight children under one roof now!. what more to see all having dinner in one table... with two daughters living in a faraway lands - seorang balek ke root (belajar mengenal akar umbi nyang-nyang-nyok kami), and sorang lagi berkhidmat utk handbag berjenanme. oppss.. and sorang lagi daughter mengikut suami duduk pijak atas langit (rumah pangsa laaa!)...
so, once a year, when all eight N's plus a vowel, A are around, we will make an attempt to gather and dine together-gether. though papa & mama prefers to chill @ uncle Williams, we, the children opted for a nicer place - an air-conditioned room in a big Mall, serving bottomless drinks (sebenanye lepas tuh dgn harapan tinggi menggunung, bolehlah dpt jalan2 keling 'O-You'). people say, majority wins... hence, we did (bende lain mmg tak boleh menang la, tapi sbb kite yg belanje, so, papa & mama tak boleh laa marah... assalamualaikum ma! assalamualaikum pa!)
